SOUNDSTAGE is a magazine which has helpful hifi articles and popular music reviews. Be sure to start with Doug Blackburn's TRILOGY FOR GOOD SOUND. This is my favorite short course for the beginner audiophile.

audio.net This site is interesting. It has used audio equipment, and it lists links to the competitive used audio pages. If you shop wisely for used audiophile grade equipment, you can usually expect to put together a serious hifi for about half the list price. A good saving for sure, and not a bad way to shop to make more of your money. BUT, always be careful and think of ways to protect yourself in case the other party should default....
AudiogoN - The High End Audio Marketplace - Yet another popular site for audio equipment classifieds with over 8,500 items advertised and some good links to reviews and discussion groups.

DVD PRICE SEARCH lists stores with updated best prices on DVD. Also gives you lots of "coupons" to use when shopping online. Check before you buy!
SECRETS OF HOME THEATRE AND HIGH FIDELITY - A Scholarly Journal Dedicated to the Enjoyment of Audio and Video Experiences, reviews many products and has interesting articles.
STEREOPHILE, a magazine for hifi enthusiasts, now has a website.
Their companion website STEREOPHILE GUIDE TO HOME THEATRE is also very informative and nicely produced.
HOME AUDIO & VIDEO - Manufacturers that maintain official web sites. This one, from Nate Sarbin, is kept up to date, and is as complete as I can find.
ANDREW'S MUSIC WORLD - Here's a new amateur audio website that has a ton of HiFi information. Somewhat unfinished, with some broken links, but still lots of fun. This one features articles for LP and turntable enthusiasts. Touts the supremacy of vinyl. Links to many equipment and HiFi locations on the Internet & in southern California.
AUDIOPHILE AUDITION - THE E-ZINE FOR AUDIO, MUSIC & HOME THEATER. Looks pretty good! Has equipment and CD reviews. Many links to other audio resources. Site webmaster John Sunier also links to his page where you can purchase rare binaural recordings. Interesting to learn about these, and site offers sample downloads!
